The majority of Jennifer’s works are small oil
paintings done on location to best capture the fleeting effects of color and light.
Each painting is a time capsule of those few hours and each piece has its
own story; from having a pod of dolphins somersaulting in the background,
to the chattering mix of monkeys and children at a Nepali temple.
Jennifer’s love of backpacking and painting in
exotic locales give her a new perspective on places not often seen.
Despite her travels, Jennifer is a South Bay
native. She graduated with honors from El Camino College and Art Center
College of Design in Pasadena. The farthest she ever moved , was to Kansas
City, where she had a summer internship at Hallmark. After graduating, she
worked for eight years as a Background Painter at Disney Feature Animation
on such films as "The Hunchback of Notre Dame",
"Tarzan", and "Treasure Planet." Between films she
took extended trips to Tibet, New Zealand, Nepal, Japan, Israel, and
Europe. Jennifer left Disney in 2002 to pursue her painting and is
currently working on a book of her travels.
Jennifer is a member of the California Art Club
and the Oil Painters of America.
